New Audit Supervisor On Board

Welcome Omar Njie! We are pleased to have you among us and we all look forward to working with you.

Mr. Njie has joined the Office of the National Public Auditor as an Audit Supervisor commencing in July, 2004. He arrived on Pohnpei with wife, Haddy Joof Njie, and daughter, Fatou Kambull Njie.

Mr. Njie worked as a Senior Auditor and Senior Financial/Strategic Planning Analyst at Cleco Corporation, an energy services company in Pineville, Louisiana, USA. Prior to joining Cleco, he worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at Trans World Airlines (TWA), Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri. He also worked as a Banking Officer/Internal Auditor with First Commerce Corporation (now Bank One Corp.) in New Orleans, Louisiana. Additionally, he worked as an Accounting Clerk at the Accountant General's Department, Government of The Gambia prior to attending college at Berea College.

Mr. Njie, a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), obtained an MBA from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (USA) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (accounting major) from Berea College in Kentucky (USA)
